Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers. Here's what parents most often ask about Noah's Ark.

What ages does Noah's Ark Preschool serve?

We serve children ages 3 to 5 who are toilet-trained. Our Lambs Class is for 3-year-olds (must be 3 by October 1) and meets in the morning. Our Lions Class is for 4-year-olds (must be 4 by October 1) and meets in the afternoon. Enrollment is open throughout the school year.

What days and times are classes held?

Both classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Lambs Class (3-year-olds) runs 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The Lions Class (4-year-olds) runs 12:00 PM to 2:55 PM.

Where is Noah's Ark Preschool located?

We are located inside Calvary Bible Church at 923 South Main Street, Lapeer, MI 48446. Please park in the parking lot and walk your child to and from the preschool. When leaving, use the north driveway.

How do I enroll my child?

Contact us by phone at (810) 664-2846 or email naps@cbcl.org. Registration forms, emergency notification cards, and immunization records must be completed prior to your child's attendance. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee due at enrollment.

What is the tuition?

For the 2026-2027 school year, tuition for the Lambs Class (3-year-olds) is $440 per semester ($880/year), and the Lions Class (4-year-olds) is $575 per semester ($1,150/year). Monthly payment plans are available. There is also a one-time $50 registration fee.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Yes. Each child must be potty-trained and able to take care of themselves in the bathroom, including managing belts, zippers, and buttons without teacher assistance. Please send a labeled bag with a change of clothes (underwear, socks, shirt, shorts or pants) in case of an accident.

What does the curriculum include?

Our kindergarten-readiness program features academics, arts and crafts, physical activity, and music. We focus on the development of the whole child — physical skills, social and communication skills, emotional development, intellectual growth, and spiritual development using a Bible-based curriculum.

Is Noah's Ark a religious preschool?

Noah's Ark Preschool is a ministry of Calvary Bible Church. We provide a foundation in Christian living through Bible-centered instruction. Our primary focus is on kindergarten readiness, with faith woven naturally into our nurturing environment.

What should my child wear/bring to school?

Send your child in practical clothing — we'll be crawling on the floor, painting, playing in the sandbox, and going to the gym. No slippery shoes. Please label all boots, coats, etc. with your child's name. Bring a labeled bag with a change of clothes for storage at school.

Do you offer tours or visits?

Yes! We hope you will find time to visit our school. If you would like to visit or help in the classroom, please notify the teacher ahead of time. We'd love to show you around.

How long has Noah's Ark Preschool been in operation?

We've been serving Lapeer County families since 1971 — 54 years of early childhood education. We're proud of the generations of families who have chosen Noah's Ark for their children.

What about snow days?

We close when Lapeer Community Schools close for weather-related problems. Closings are announced on WMPC 1230 AM, Channel 12 Weather, group texts, and lapeerschools.org.

Are there field trips?

We take up to three field trips per year as part of our educational program. Every child must have a guardian for transportation and supervision on each field trip.
